Unfortunately, Mailian isn’t even listening to me; he’s too busy glaring at Jordan, and now at Caelsah who had moved in a bit closer.
Suddenly Mailian starts laughing.
“Pardon me, but I fail to see what you find so funny?” Jordan is trying to be polite but I can hear his anger just below the surface. Oh god, please don’t let him try to get physical with Mailian.
“Well it has just occurred to me who you are,” he looks at Caelsah. “It must suck to be in your shoes right now.”
Caelsah looks like he’s ready to kill, but he still doesn’t make a move or say a word.
“I fail to see your point, but as Amanae has already asked, let her go, now,” Jordan demands and grabs Mailian’s hand, utilizing pressure points to pin his arm behind his back. Mailian is caught off guard and releases me in the process. But it doesn’t take Mailian long to react and he swiftly flips Jordan over his shoulder.
Jordan lands on his back, but doesn’t stay down long has he flips to his feet in a fluid motion and spins to face Mailian in crouching position looking like he’s ready to pounce.
“You cannot be serious?” Mailian says to Jordan.
“Guys,” I say, “this is not happening.”
Completely ignoring me Jordan says, “Don’t tell me a big bad elf is afraid of a mere human?”
I hear someone in the crowd whisper “Does he have a death wish?”
‘Caelsah, do something!’ I project.
‘Jordan isn’t listening to you, what on earth makes you think he will listen to me? Something tells me I’m more the source of his anger in the first place, Mailian just happened to give him an excuse to release it.’
‘So stop Mailian!’
Suddenly Mailian is behind Jordan in the blink of an eye, but damn near as fast Jordan sweeps Mailian’s legs out from under him, rolls and pins Mailian to the ground.
‘Hell, did you see that?! He can fight?’ Caelsah actually sounds a bit impressed. I’m not.
‘Caelsah! Do something!’
“Mailian! Keep it fair,” Caelsah yells.
‘Seriously?! That’s your idea of doing something?’
