I head back to my day job tomorrow and I’m not gonna lie, I’m sad that the summer has flown by so quickly. So many things have happened!
Dreams of Beautiful Whisper is available in eBook format and paperback through Amazon and though it hasn’t been setting the world on fire yet, it is getting some good attention and terrific reviews (phew!).
Book 2 is well under way and progressing nicely and I can’t wait to see how it ends! If you’ve been paying attention to little tidbits here and there, you’ll know that the title of book 2 is Whisper’s Beautiful Song.
For those who aren’t up to speed on the first title, I’ll explain. The meaning of the main character’s name, Amanae, is Beautiful Whisper. Therefore, Dreams of Beautiful Whisper actually means Dreams of Amanae. If you’ve read the book, it all makes sense… if you haven’t… why not? 😉
Therefore, yes, it is safe to assume that there is a specific meaning and connection to the title of book 2 and that’s all I’ll say at this time!
Once Dreams of Beautiful Whisper was available in paperback, I supplied copies to Pharmasave in Black Diamond… within a week they were sold out! I’m pleased to say that they now have more copies available and I will be a little bit more heads up on checking into that!
There are also copies available at Image Hair Design and Home Ground Cafe, both in Okotoks.
If you didn’t get chance to read the article I wrote titled “Like a Phoenix – Help Turn Tragedy into Transformation” I do recommend it, I feel that it’s an important piece. If you have read it, then just a reminder that $1 from all sales of Dreams of Beautiful Whisper, through until the end of September, will be donated to the BC SPCA in Sarah’s name. Please pass it on.
For those not familiar with Morgan Books & ePublishing, it’s a company I created to use as the imprint publisher for my books. Well we just want to spread the word that Morgan Books is accepting some freelance projects for editing, web design and social media setup/management. So if you or someone you know is in need of these services, please pass this along.
Last but not least, I’d like to introduce you to Bookshop Bistro. This is a new blog style site that is run by a co-op of authors. Currently there’s a new article every day (Monday through Friday) and they include author interviews, writing tips, publishing tips, book reviews and short stories. We will also be adding in upcoming events. Through the site we are offering readers an opportunity to sign up as Beta Readers/Reviewers where you will have the opportunity to get free copies of books (sometimes before they’re even released) in exchange for feedback/reviews. We invite you to take a look and share the site with everyone you know! We expect it to grow into something quite formidable.
I think that’s more than enough for now – like I said… so much happens in a week these days!
